Contovista - An Insider's View on the Journey From Incorporation to Exit in four Years

In 2013 Swiss start-up Contovista was incorporated to build a more delightful banking experience by developing a high quality personal finance management experience with integrated semantic search and analytics for existing e-banking portals. This talk will give insights on the ups and downs of this startup and explain the choices made for the market entry strategy, funding, advisor and employee incentives and company culture until the successful exit to Aduno in 2017.

Twelve carefully selected startups will pitch on stage. Each startup will be allotted 7 minutes pitching time, followed by a 3 minutes Q&A session.

19:00 – Networking Apéro with Matchmaking
During the apéro, the presenting startups have booths and can show a demo of their products. Investors are welcome to connect to their favourite startups individually for a more detailed discussion and initiate future collaborations.

Efi holds a doctorate in Finance, is the author of Wiley Fixed income books with Frank Fabozzi and is included in the upcoming WealthTech book by Wiley.

Dr. Thomas Dübendorfer
Co-Founder and President of Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC)
Thomas Dübendorfer holds a Ph.D. and master in computer science with honours with distinction from ETH Zurich.
He worked as software engineer in Silicon Valley and seven years as Tech Lead on security and privacy projects at Google in Zürich, receiving three Google OC awards.
As president, he shaped the Information Security Society Switzerland ISSS for five years during which the number of members more than doubled to over a thousand. He is a lecturer at ETH Zürich and has co-founded several Internet technology based product centric startups in Switzerland, among them Spontacts (exit to Scout24 Group), Contovista (big data for finance) and Frontify (collaborative web design).
Serial Entrepreneur and Angel Investor
Pascal has more than 20 years of experience in recruiting CEOs, board members and senior executives for leading corporations and organizations. He has co-founded a number of commercial and nonprofit organizations, amongst which World.Minds in Zurich and XU Exponential University in Berlin.
Since 2005 he is Member of the Investment Committee of Vita Sammelstiftung, one of the largest Swiss institutional investors.
As an investor, Pascal is actively involved in a number of start ups in the blockchain, retail and education sectors.
He received a B.A. in social sciences and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and is an Alumni of Insead’s Master CCC Programme.
